Poetry: the watchmaker hired a fumbling apprentice

the watchmaker hired a fumbling apprentice

tick-tock, tick-tock

          The weary gong of a

          Grandfather clock

          The gentle snowfall

          Flash, flicker, gone

slipping, drip, drip

life, blooming, consuming
